Welcome to the Order of the Wild Rose

The Order of the Wild Rose was founded by a group of people based in Wessex, seeking to live life in harmony in a world that is out of balance and out of control. We believe that there is potential for each and every one of us to grow in consciousness irrespective of religous belief. There is currently an awakening of ancient wisdom in both the East and West and seeking this out is part of our quest. We believe that it is important to commune with each other, the earth, and the greater force that prevails thoughout the universe. The finer parts of our heritage and traditions hold a wealth of knowledge that can be rediscovered by those who care enough to find and awaken them from their slumbers.

We endeavour to seek out universal truths and learn how we can apply them to daily life. We strive to learn more of the true nature of the world; to live in balance with the earth and do what we can to nurture it back to health. By joining together, sharing experiences, ideas, and learning, we move closer to a place of spiritual harmony and by so doing help the whole of humanity.

Together the whole is greater than the sum of our parts. The common belief that binds us is that of a divine force/god/spirit (call it what you will) that is part of us and the very essence of universal knowledge and life itself. Although some may call this christianity, druidism, buddhism or whatever,  our beliefs are varied and based upon the roots of all true ancient religions that stem from the one truth.  This power, when listened to consciously, connects us to the earth and heavens so that we may fulfill our potential as humans. We have been given the gift of life and learning and our task today in this unbalanced and dying world is to care for the earth and each other; to join with others and raise our awareness and ability to enjoy life; in so doing we may help others.

Some of the ways in which we work with and pay homage to our divine spiritual source are through the following activities:

  • Yoga (please see the page on our teacher from India, Carol Fraser)
  • Meditation
  • Music
  • Sacred Dance
  • Druidic celebrations of special seasonal times
  • Feng Shui
  • Permaculture
  • Eco-building
  • Caring for our Nature Reserve in Somerset.

Much of our learning comes through our friend and teacher, Carol Fraser, who is a pupil of Shin Shiva Svayambhu, a master considered to be a great being of our time who has come to earth  to help mankind during these troubled times.

PROJECT

We are currently working on a new project which will be the setting up of a small community within Dorset. It will be a place of living and working, aimed, in particular, at helping "lost" or struggling  individuals who are having difficulty finding their place in the world, not being able to cope and not knowing who or where to turn to to get help.

Based on proven concepts taken from many years of experience working within the addiction and mental health field it will be a place for people to have time out from the normal pressures of modern life. They will be able to work on their spiritual  path as well as their physical and emotional needs, within a safe and nurturing environment. A holistic approach will be taken, encompasing many complimentary methods of care such as Reiki, acupuncture, and homeopathy within a set programme of workshops, groups and one-to one sessions by qualified therapists. The approach taken has already proved to have success in helping families and individuals who have had difficulties in coping with life, especially with addictions.

In the current pressure of modern life it is all too easy to come out of balance and loose sight of who we really are.  Young people especially are having problems. Drink and drug addictions,  unemployment and crime rates all show how society is not at ease as a whole.
The emphaisis seems to be on the material at the expense of the spiritual, rather than finding a balance.

The underlying premise of the project is that we are all unique beings who benefit greatly from being in touch with our inner and true nature. We can access this more fully by living in harmony with nature; growing and eating organic food, living in carefully constructed and balanced homes and working on our inner selves through yoga, meditation and communion with each other. Achieving this inner balance  allows us to more easily understand and learn about ourselves and how to make the necessary changes that will alleviate our pain and grow outwardly.

We are currently seeking further funding and premises within North Dorset. If anyone can help in any way or would like further details we would love to hear from you.

You are invited to browse through these pages and see if anything resonates with you. We try to keep them updated and add bits of interest regularly.

We are always happy to receive comments and learn of new or interesting things that are happening concerning the natural world and mankind's spiritual well-being; be it new research, events, talks, books or groups. So please feel free to let us know of anything of value you would like to share, or if you would just like to contact us and let us know you exist.
